Course Program

This Prestige Tuition Year 8 English course has been revised for the new NSW English syllabus meeting the Australian National Curriculum requirements effective from 2014.

By the end of the year, students of Prestige will be able to:
  • use and describe language forms, features and structures of texts appropriate to a range of purposes, audiences and contexts,
  • make effective language choices to creatively shape meaning with accuracy, clarity and coherence, 
  • think imaginatively, creatively, interpretively and critically about information, ideas and arguments to respond to and compose texts. 
  • demonstrate understanding of how texts can express aspects of their broadening world and their relationships within it
  • identify, consider and appreciate cultural expression in texts.
